Endorsements

I don’t often tell people how they should vote. In fact, every person should do their own research and vote according to their conscience. But this election is different. I’m asking my son, my family, my friends, and everyone who is listening to consider voting for Councilwoman Monica Robinson. Throughout my work advocating for immigrant families and other vulnerable members of our community, I have watched who shows up when the conversations become uncomfortable. When our community raised concerns about surveillance cameras, I was encouraged to see Councilwoman Robinson stand for transparency, accountability, and civil liberties. I have also had the privilege of speaking alongside her on a community discussion panel, where I witnessed firsthand her passion for Harrisonburg and her willingness to stand with people who are too often ignored or left without a voice. Councilwoman Monica Robinson has demonstrated a commitment to serve, to represent her entire community, to make difficult decisions, and to speak up when it would be easier to remain silent. As someone who has spent years advocating for policies that strengthen communities, I am proud to endorse Councilwoman Robinson for Harrisonburg City Council.
